Programmed to SucceedLike the license training, the Scholarship Program takes place at the Formula BMW Racing Center. The selected drivers and the winners of the previous year's Formula BMW Rookie Cup are awarded the season-long Education and Coaching Program, the BMW Motorsport livery for their cars, and their complete racing attire requirement. Scholarship drivers also receive financial support from BMW and its partners, all of which they are required to spend on entering Formula BMW Championship race events. When these races take place as part of the Formula 1 support series, the young drivers have the chance to meet the drivers of the BMW WilliamsF1 Team and pick up a few professional tips first hand. The BMW Scholarship program is not just about racing; courses in sports management, sporting law, public relations, sponsorship, English for motorsports, diet and fitness, vehicle technology and data analysis ensure that students are kept busy. The aim is to ensure that they are well prepared for the Formula BMW Championship, and to provide them with the tools they need for a successful career in professional motorsports.
